It was the Third of September, that day I’ll always remember–yes I will–’cause that was the day… I kicked off the month with another edition of « Le suivre vendredi » !

This week, I head across The Pond to England to feature a young blogger who at the age of 16 is already a fashion director for an unnamed magazine and is making a new blogging platform a bit more respectable.
Mesdames et messieurs, bienvenue s’il vous plaît mon première « Le suivre vendredi » pour septembre 2010, Nesha de The Button Owl !
One more day before we bring to a close the month of August 2010, but not before one last edition of « Le lundi musique » !
Once upon a time, over 29 years ago, MTV went on the air. Very few people saw the first day of MTV’s existence, but within a few years’ time, the new cable channel would revolutionize everything from music to fashion… only to be reduced to showing “Jersey Shore” and “16 and Pregnant” 24/7.
C’est la fin de la semaine ! Only a couple more days until September arrives, but before we look forward to all that month has to offer, let’s have a look back on the week that was…
And rolled out a new weekly feature devoted to Edie Sedgwick
To close out the week, I give you some old-school dance pop courtesy of Cathy Dennis with “Touch Me (All Night Long).” This lass would go on to eventually write hits for artists as various as Britney Spears (“Toxic”), Katy Perry (“California Girls”) and even a song for Kylie Minogue that I just can’t seem to get out of my head at the moment… oh well.

That was actually the unofficial start of a new feature known as Sedgwick Saturday–sorry, no clever-sounding French title this time; plus, it just sounds better en anglais this time, non ?
It pretty much goes like this: Every Saturday until my source runs dry–my source being Only Edie Sedgwick, a wonderful Tumblr devoted solely to Edie… kinda like what the title says–I will post a single image of Edie. No text other than the caption, and since I will most likely have no idea who took the photo, it will be credited to OES unless otherwise noted as well as linked-back to the post from whence it came.
This week and this month are slowly drawing to a close, but before lay my weary head against my pillow for the night, there is still one more « Le suivre vendredi » pour août 2010 …

Another week is here, and I figured that I would do another profile post for « Le lundi musique » like I did last month for this past weekend’s birthday girl, Alizée (elle est 26 ans comme 21 août 2010). Before there was Garbage, there was Curve, a British alternative rock duo from the 1990s, [...]
C’est la fin de la semaine et il était merveilleux ! A look back, les amis ? But of course… Rocked your world with some crazy mashups Felt a bit sorry for Dov Charney, but just a bit Introduced you to Christina Topacio And celebrated Alizée’s 26th birthday with a little Prince and a little [...]
I normally don’t post on Saturdays as I usually have nothing to say… until today, that is… Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today 2 celebrate this girl called Alizée. Electric word, Alizée. It means “trade wind” and she’s been here for a mighty long time. But I’m here 2 tell U there’s something else: [...]
Another week draws to a close, and while bills and other fun financial things may delay my arrival in NYC until NYE, we’ll always have « Le suivre vendredi ». Allons-y les amis ! This week I head back over to San Francisco for a blogger who not only helped me to join IFB, but [...]
